Job Description:
Responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Engineer with expertise in developing software for bio-analytical instrumentation. This role requires a strong background in C++, MATLAB, and Python, as well as comprehensive knowledge of the entire software stack, ranging from GUI development to embedded systems. If you have a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience, hold a BSc or MSc degree in a related field, and are passionate about advancing the field of life science research instrumentation through innovative software solutions, we encourage you to apply.
· Design, develop, and maintain software solutions for bio-analytical instrumentation, including data acquisition, analysis, and control systems.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including scientists, engineers, and product managers, to define software requirements and specifications.
· Implement and optimize algorithms for data processing, image analysis, and instrument control.
· Develop intuitive and user-friendly GUI interfaces for instrument control and data visualization.
· Ensure software reliability, performance, and scalability through rigorous testing and code optimization.
· Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, debugging and optimizing code as needed.
· Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies in bio-analytical instrumentation and software development.
Requirements:
· Minimum 12 years of experience in software development, with a focus on bio-analytical instrumentation.
· Familiarity with software standards specific to research-use-only lab instruments
· Knowledge of GLP compliance and the ability to develop software solutions that adhere to GLP requirements is a plus.
· Experience with implementing relevant standards and guidelines, such as ISO 13485, ISO 14971 and IEC 62304 is a plus.
· Proficiency in C++, MATLAB, and Python programming languages.
· Comprehensive understanding of the software development life cycle and best practices.
· Experience with GUI development and creating user-friendly interfaces.
· Knowledge of embedded systems and low-level programming.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to handle complex software challenges.
· Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
· BSc or MSc degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
